Job Title: Branch Manager

Location: East Bridgford - Nottinghamshire

Salary: Competitive

Job Type: Full time, Permanent (Covering a 7-day trading pattern)

Established as a family run business in 1924, the Company has grown to be one of the largest independent retailers in the UK with 32 stores and 7 Concessions.

We are now looking to recruit a Branch Manager to work at our store in East Bridgford.

Summary Main Tasks:

Review sales turnover with Operations Manager and maintain maximum efforts to achieve agreed sales turnover budgets. Ensure all information is communicated to other members of the team
Take responsibility for overhead budgets reviewing regularly with Operations Manager
Ensure store is kept secure at all times by registered key holders, following branch opening and locking procedures and attending the branch promptly in the event of a call out
Maintain high standards of branch housekeeping, taking responsibility for maintenance of fixtures, fittings and property
Take full staff management role through effective recruitment, training and retention of staff following all Company procedures
Ensure customers receive a high standard of service in line with the 9 Key Selling Points
Control the standard of window and interior display, to ensure clear presentation of the merchandise is given to customers
Monitor stock handling by staff, housekeeping of fixture areas to ensure compliance with Company policy standard to maintain orderly, clean and tidy stock rooms
Keep Operations Manager up to date with selling trends to maintain competitive trading
Communicate with Senior Managers/visitors and any other areas of the business when required to do soThe ideal candidate will be able to fulfil the following criteria:

Proven sales retail experience ideally in shoe retailing industry
Must be able to manage staff effectively and delegate to others to ensure the branch is on target and achieving maximum sales
Able to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills
Good working knowledge of stock management systems
Driven by results and high standards of customer serviceIn return the Company offers:
