Role Overview:
In this role as an assistant commercial manager, you will assist, negotiate, deliver & communicate contract & framework agreements. In essence, you will advise on the procurement strategy across the organisation.
In addition to this, as an assistant commercial manager, you will assist in contract reviews/negotiations. As a result of your efforts in the re-engineering of procedures, you will improve the efficiency and reduce the costs of the procurement process. Furthermore, you will deliver efficiencies in line with financial reporting and forecasting systems.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
- Qualified to CIPS professional standard or equivalent.
- Understanding of current domestic and EU legislative requirements and proven experience in applying these to day-to-day procurement activities and documentation.
- Ability to communicate effectively and to influence others both internally and externally up to Managing Director level through presentations, negotiation and written reports.
- Experience in preparing, reviewing and agreeing contract terms and conditions and commercial schedules.
