The Law Society is the independent professional body for solicitors in England and Wales. We are the voice of solicitors, driving excellence in the profession and safeguarding the rule of law.
The role will see you working as assistant to Head of Legal and General Counsel as well as providing support to a busy Legal Department. The role has an administrative focus involving organising meetings and taking minutes, managing of the department's document storage logs and various databases, preparing departmental finance reports, processing purchase orders and assisting with overseeing the team budget. This is a fantastic opportunity to become a key part of a talented Legal Team. You will be providing essential support which will enable members of the team to work effectively and efficiently.
What we're looking for
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual who is keen to take ownership of tasks allocated to them and make this role their own. You will be either an Assistant in a legal team or assistant to Head of Legal/General Counsel or similar role. An organised individual who works accurately and has a keen eye for detail. Experience preparing finance reports and drafting simple correspondence is essential.
