Audit Director RI

REED accountancy are delighted to announce we are working with a fast-growing, well-established accountancy practice based in St Albans! Our client is seeking an experienced, motivated and technically proficient Audit Director to join their team. The ideal candidate will be qualified RI (Responsible Individual) and have been in a similar role previously where they had experience managing a team.

The Role:

• The ideal candidate will play a part in;
• Building client base;
• Preparation of quotes and presenting to clients;
• Leading audit and assurance assignments;
• Implementation of efficiencies in audit process;
• Proving technical advice to their team and to clients;
• Working alongside the A&A managers to develop the team;
• Working with training manager to ensure the team receive appropriate training;
• Undertaking compliance reviews;
• Implementing changes required under audit reform

Qualifications:

• ACA/ACCA Fully Qualified
• RI status achieved with the ICAEW is preferred

Skills and Experience:

• Experience working in practice on a wide range of audit and assurance assignments is essential
• 5 years post qualification experience
• Excellent attention to detail and proficient technical skills
• Extensive experience of UK GAAP, in particular FRS 102 and the charity SORP

Personal Skills:

• The role has a high level of contact with clients and so excellent communication skills both written and verbal are essential
• You must be able to debate accounting issues and be able to deal with potential conflict over audit opinions
• Organisation skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines is essential
