Cash and Banking Officer required for a permanent opportunity, working for a well known, reputable business based in Birmingham City Centre. Operating nationally, the business has been successful in their field for over 75 years and place their focus upon their people in all aspects of their business.

Joining a well established and friendly finance team, you will be responsible for:
- Raising and processing invoices
- Managing incoming and outgoing payments by BACS, Cheque and card
- Allocating payments
- Setting up new customers and suppliers
- Collecting debt by phone and email
- Maintaining unallocated payments
- Monthly reporting for AP and AR
- Carrying out bank reconciliations
- Aged debt reporting
- Working in line with company policies and procedures
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any queries

Experience Required:
- Previous experience handling cash for a large business
- Exceptional communicator (both written and verbal) with strong relationship building skills
- Proven organisation skills with ability to prioritise in a timely and efficient manner
- Excellent numerical reasoning and analytical skills
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Good interpersonal skills - personable and professional
- Confident telephone manner
- Excellent level of IT skills

The business is in the heart of Birmingham city centre and is easily accessible by train and bus, you will be working 9-5 Monday to Friday split between the home and office (3 days per week).
