We are looking to recruit an engineering Operations Manager to join a leading provider of interfaces to commercial Building Management Systems (BMS). This is a key vacancy for this well established engineering business. A leader in their field of energy management and lighting control this cutting edge SME is actively recruiting an experienced engineering Operations Manager based at their HQ in West Sussex.

Trading since 2001 our client has developed a range of their own smart technology for commercial buildings, that enable the customer to monitor and better control their building or commercial estate.
These technologies include:

energy and integration hardware

lighting control system

energy and billing software services

A bit about this vacancy:
Engineering Team (operation) Manager

In order to allow the company to focus on the delivery of products and services, there is a new and immediate vacancy for
an Engineering Team Manager that will sit across the site and support engineering teams.
The objective is to manage site engineering and support for both internal and external users, across the product range.
Currently the product support team is responsible for documentation, liaising with R&D, sales and technical support,
and the site engineering team is responsible for service, site engineering and project work for the smart building

Duties & responsibilities:

Ensure the efficient running of the product support and site engineering

Be responsible for managing the site attendance

Submit RISK, RAMs and other project submittals

Manage project deliveries through the engineering team

Administering Health & Safety (we have an external company that advises us on H&S)

Appraise the engineers

Therefore we are looking for candidates with a background in the following disciplines:

BMS/ Energy Management/ Lighting Controls
Or aligned sectors such as:
CCTV/ Access Controls/Fire Alarms/Building Fit Outs

The successful individual candidate will ideally have experience in:

Managing engineers

Operations management

Understanding/running building contracts and projects.

Process Management

Health and Safety
Full product training will be provided

You will be based in West Sussex and there will be the occasional need to travel to site. Our clients are typically in London so travel by train would be necessary
