Exciting Trainee Purchase Ledger Assistant opportunity in Chelmsford - No Experience Required - AAT Studiers considered
Our client is a multi-academy trust and as part of their exciting growth plan they have a new Trainee Purchase Ledger position were you will provide financial support to the schools within the Trust. The role will be worked on a rotational basis, so you can develop in different areas and gain a broader accounts knowledge.

The role will be worked on a rotational basis, so you can develop in different areas and gain a broader accounts knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Complete and process orders and requisitions
- Raise new supplier accounts
- Assist with queries, as and when required by telephone and e-mail
- Verify delivery of goods and enter GRN's into the systems
- Enter/raise invoices
- Prepare invoices for payment - ensure delivery notes and invoices match
- Check suppliers' statements, as and when received
- Process Supplier refunds
- Run Aged Creditors Report weekly and monitor disputed invoices
- Monitor and action enquiries and instructions made via designated finance mailboxes
- Identify and liaise with suppliers
- Enter income/expenditure onto relevant systems, as appropriate
- Submit and process staff expenses payments
- Ad hoc roles within the team
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Accounts experience is desirable but not essential
- Good numeracy skills and ability to undertake basic calculations
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organisation skills and work well under pressure
- Ability to prioritise effectively and time manage tasks
- IT literate, good knowledge of MS, Excel, and Word
It Offers:
- Permanent full-time position - 8:00am to 4:00pm
- Based in Chelmsford city centre
- Salary £19,698
