Morgan McKinley Northern Home Counties are delighted to be working with an SME business to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant, based North West of Milton Keynes. They are looking for someone to start immediately for a 12 week contract, with the possibility of it being permanent.


In this newly created position, you will work closely with the Financial Controller, supporting with the management accounting activities.

Key Responsibilities;
  • Supporting with the monthly management accounts
  • Prepare accruals and prepayments
  • Assisting with payroll
  • Closing of completed job cards and releasing of associated deposits
  • Completion of the company VAT/Intrastat returns for submission to HMRC
  • Complete weekly, monthly payments to suppliers and subcontractors
  • Sales ledger invoicing and chasing payments
  • Conducting monthly reconciliations
  • Maintain spreadsheets for costs and revenue
  • Support the finance team in the preparation of regular forecasts and budgets

The ideal candidate profile
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong excel skills
  • Sage experience
  • Studying towards a recognised qualification (ACCA/CIMA)

Salary & Benefits

The working hours are Monday - Friday 08.00-17.00, office based with parking included onsite

The Client will consider £16-£17 per hour.
