Legal Assistant Paralegal- IMMEDIATE START

A Legal Assistant/Paralegal is required by a highly regarded, vibrant Solicitors Practice based in Bolton.

The renowned practice is a multi-service law firm based in a Grade A office complex with free onsite parking and easy access to public transport, resulting in a 'feel good' factor in being part of a successful growing firm through implementation of detailed strategy. They are growing through the COVID 19 epidemic and seeking to recruit an experienced Legal Accounts Administrator a permanent, full-time basis who holds true passion in their craft with experience. The ideal candidate would be joining the firm with an open spaced office environment.

The selected candidate will have experience within a law firm environment and preferred to hold the skills and experience listed below with the opportunity to progress into a Fee Earner role.

Required Skills & Responsibilities:
Undertake administrative tasks, such organising and maintaining original documents

Responsible for checking post and/ or emails and allocating to the correct departments

Responsible for ordering stationary goods/office equipment and ensuring stock levels are maintained

Undertake administrative tasks, such as organising, photocopying, scanning and filing documents

Completing forms and production of letters and contracts for employees, clients and suppliers

Building positive working relationships with suppliers and medical agencies with the ability to negotiate agreement terms where required

Providing regular updates to Medical Agencies with the ability to identify information from the review of files

Generating weekly reports using case management system

Liaising with Fee Earners to deliver instructions and liaise on work requirements

Opening and closing of files on case management system and ensuring procedures are being followed

Experience in compiling/managing Excel spreadsheets efficiently

Ensuring compliance with firm/department policies and procedures

Assisting with Costs requirements

Must have current ongoing legal based experience

Previous Administrative work experience is essential

A good eye for detail to ensure high quality of communications in all matters

Good written and verbal communication skills

Ability to prioritise tasks and cope with numerous and varied responsibilities effectively

Desire to learn, improve and take on new skills

Demonstrate excellent inter-personal and communication skills when dealing with clients, other parties and colleagues.

Demonstrate good 'people skills' for building relationships with colleagues at all levels

Proficient IT skills and knowledge

Vacancy Information:
  • Location: Bolton, Lancashire
  • Salary range (DOE): £13,000 - £16,500 per Annum
