Exciting opportunity to join a family run business as a full time Financial Life Planner, working 37.5 hours per week, which can be worked flexibly to suit individual circumstances. PPM Financial Planning provides a Financial Life Planning service to its clients. Our approach is relationship based and allows us to work with clients over the long term to inspire them and motivate them to live their best life.

The successful candidate will be expected to have more meaningful and exploratory conversations with our clients, coaching where necessary, in order to help them really think about what they want to achieve in their lives. We also help them understand the behaviours and actions that will maximise their chances of meeting their personal and financial goals.
We use sophisticated cashflow modelling software that makes financial planning come alive for our clients, so they really engage with the planning process before we start looking at financial products.
The key purpose of this role will be to develop and maintain relationships with existing clients in order to deliver financial life planning services and safeguard the income of the company. These clients are based predominantly in Birmingham, Warwickshire and Worcestershire.
Key responsibilities will include but is not limited to:
Maintaining relationships with existing clients;
Acquiring and on-boarding new clients;
Business processing including being responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all new business documentation in line with compliance requirements;
Personal development - to meet the annual FCA CPD requirements, including ongoing Level 4 competency assessment and completing the minimum requirements for structural CPD;
Upholding PPM Financial Planning values and promote the PPM Financial Planning brand in all internal and external dealings;
Produce records, maintain client confidentiality and meet GDPR requirements on data privacy and security;
Liaise with other financial service providers, regulators and professional bodies;
We are looking for someone who has, or is working towards the Level 4 Diploma qualification standard. Familiarity with The Kinder Institute or the Paul Armson Inspiring Advisers Programme would be desirable, but not essential. It is essential that you have a Statement of Professional Standing from a relevant institute and ongoing Level 4 competency must be demonstrated every year.
Significant and outstanding interpersonal skills to develop and maintain client trust and obtain confidence is essential, as is the ability to manage your workload and prioritise accordingly. You should be highly experienced with Microsoft Office Suite as well as a good knowledge of Financial Services Products. Ideally you will have knowledge of Financial Services back office systems and be advanced in Excel.
You should be able to demonstrate initiative and take personal responsibility for completing tasks, whilst having the self motivation to deliver a first-class service and commitment to clients.
