We have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Supported Housing Worker based in Bath. You will join us on a part time, fixed-term contract for 6 months, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £12,825 per annum, plus benefits.

Brighter Places developed from a merger between Solon and United Communities Housing Associations in 2021. We manage 3,300 homes for Bristol and surrounding areas and aim to build brighter futures by delivering 1,000 new homes by 2027.

About our Supported Housing Worker role:

As our Supported Housing Worker, you will work at Rackfield House, based in Bath, which is a 20 bed supported housing scheme for single homeless men and women with low to medium support needs.

Key Responsibilities as our Supported Housing Worker:

Working as part of an outcome focused team that works effectively with vulnerable adults, ensuring your work is of outstanding enduring quality and is responsive to the needs of clients.

Enabling clients to maximise and sustain their income by ensuring that all benefit claims are completed accurately and promptly and maintained throughout their time in the service.

Emphasise the work carried out with vulnerable adults by empowering them to improve their life skills, to identify and maximise move on options and to continue to provide ongoing support to them through the transition period.

What we're looking for in our Supported Housing Worker:

Educated to A level standard or equivalent. Any social-housing related qualification is desirable but not essential.

Experience of supporting vulnerable adults or others, and understanding their needs. Experience of working in supported housing is desirable but not essential.

Excellent interpersonal skills particularly written, verbal, influencing and negotiating.

Ability to deal with challenging situations calmly and assertively.

Excellent IT skills.
