Finance Manager

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 plus great benefits

Location: Manchester

Duration: Permanent

Sellick Partnership has been engaged to recruit a Finance Manager for a truly global service organisation in Manchester. The business has grown year on year through acquisition and organic growth and boasts a very healthy turnover and profits.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a key senior position that will be tasked to collaborate with a diverse team, you will be responsible for managing and controlling specific regulated entities and producing monthly and quarterly statutory reporting packs for the board highlighting variances and reconciliation back to GL, assisting with audit queries as required

Key duties of the role:

  • Prepares cash and balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Prepare legal entity reporting packs for the Board and provides logical explanations for fluctuations ensuring that the P&L and Balance sheet are materially correct at an entity level.
  • Assists internal stakeholders/clients by providing information required to file tax returns, prepare insurance documentation and any other required information pertaining to the entity.
  • Review aged rec breaks to ensure that all items appropriately reserved and produce detailed legal entity analytical packs, supporting lead schedules and a detailed understanding of statutory entities
  • Identify and implement improvement opportunities within the legal entity reporting processes.
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders across the business and provide them with specialist advice to help resolve reporting issues
  • Other related duties assigned as needed.


The successful applicant will be a fully qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA or CIMA) either making their first move from practice (Top 10) or coming from a similar role with knowledge of auditing processes and procedures as well as accounting principles, financial statements, practices and procedures.

Due to the multi-faceted nature of this position it is necessary that the successful individual will have good attention to detail, have a flexible approach to work and problem solving and excellent excel and modelling skills.

In a workplace where teamwork is essential, excellent people skills and the ability to influence are a must. Likewise, being self-motivated, adaptable, pro-active (constantly curious) and the willingness to assist in solving problems or questioning wherever possible without passing the problem along is the type of individual we are looking for. You will also possess good influencing skills at senior level, managing deadlines, timetables, multi-tasking and priorities.
