Exciting opportunity for an alternative funds lawyer to join the asset management arm of a global investment bank based in London.

My client, a global investment bank, is looking for an alternatives funds lawyer to join its asset management arm in London and work with its Alternatives Legal team supporting private equity, debt and venture capital funds and real estate.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

-advising on the structuring and establishment of both direct and indirect alternative investment funds domiciled in Luxembourg and Guernsey, including feeder funds, funds of funds, debt funds and venture capital funds;

-advising on the investment by the organisation's clients or funds into third party private equity, private debt or infrastructure equity funds;

-providing legal support to the organisation's Alternative funds business supporting product development, deal flow and negotiations;

-advising upon and assisting in implementation of legislation, regulations and best practice relating to alternative funds and their marketing and distribution;

-participating in and supporting the goals and work of the organisation's global legal, compliance and risk functions in their objective at all times to best serve the company and its clients and to ensure it adheres to the highest standards of integrity and regulatory compliance;

-the creation of new mandates and structures to give the organisation's clients better access to investments in alternative investment funds; and

-the supervision of junior members of the team.
