About Our Client
I am currently recruiting for an innovative Manufacturing business based in Gloucester who are looking for a competent Health & Safety Manager to set their own agenda and manage processes and procedures.

Job Description
As the HSQE Manager you will report to the Board of Directors and will be working as the nominated Competent Person for the Group including the remote Contracting Division.

The role is to train, coach and support colleagues and commit to the continual improvement of the HSQE standards across the business.
To be the point of contact and provide support, advice, and guidance for all areas of activity within the Group
Ensuring all documentation is compliant and in date
Ensuring the delivery of all required employee training
Undertake the Group internal IMS HSQE audit schedule
Chair the HSE meetings and attendance at the Group Management Reviews
Always ensuring full compliance of site activities
Ensure sites have adequate provision of all necessary documentation and clear concise instructions for their use in the event of an emergency or major incident
Creating a positive approach to accident and incident prevention and our impact on the environment
Undertaking drug and alcohol testing in line with Company policy
Sharing knowledge to ensure continuous process improvements across the Group's activities
Engaging with colleagues and team members across the business to support cross functional and positive working relationships
Ensure that all Health, Safety & Environmental policies, and practices are upheld, whilst proactively encouraging colleagues to promote a culture of good HSE practice Person Specification

At least 2 years recent and relevant experience in a similar role
ISO14001, 9001 or 45001 internal auditors
NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma
Experience of investigations
Experience of CDM
Professional approach, coupled with strong interpersonal skills
Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills
Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
Experience of Microsoft IT packages
Ability to work on own initiative
Ability to work in, and adapt to a rapidly changing environment
