Job Description

Account Manager

Location: Sale, Manchester

Salary: £23,000 with OTE of up to £35,000

This is a high-volume, warm calling, outbound B2B sales role, focused on upsell and cross-sell of additional products and services to our client's existing customer base. A key requirement of the role is that all activity performed aligns to the client's values and sales behaviours, with a customer-centric focus maintained at all times.

Responsibilities of the Account Manager

Warm outbound calls to the client's customers to upsell and cross-sell additional products and services
Perform all activity within regulatory standards, GDPR and quality policies
Complete all reports, system, and CRM updates in a timely and accurate manner
Develop an expert level knowledge of the products, systems, and business processes
Create excellent working relationships across the colleague community.Success Measures of an Account Manager

Achieve all sales targets in a consistent manner (month-by-month)
Achieve all agreed activity targets
Operate within our client's quality guidelines
Achieve all objectives agreed with the Customer Growth Sales Manager
Receive above par scores from customer satisfaction surveys and internal feedback.Experience of an Account Manager

A minimum of 2-years demonstrable success in a high-volume B2B sales role
Experience of negotiating multiple product, price and contract terms with customers
A good level of understanding of B2B sales processes
A good level of understanding of regulatory requirements impacting B2B sales organisations
Computer literate with experience of sales CRM, and/or Lead Management systems.

Skills of an Account Manager

Good written and verbal communications skills, with an ability to adapt communication styles to individual customers
High level of attention to detail and organisation, with a sense of ownership, pride, and responsibility for the accuracy of own work
The drive, resilience and focus required to win in a competitive sales environment
A genuine interest in own development and learning needs, with the energy and desire to act on them to improve own performance
A professional and pleasant demeanour, with the desire to create good working relationships with both colleagues and customers.
