Test Rod and Rope and Sub-Duct Engineers 2x 2 man Teams.
Scottish Boarders: Pencaitland/North Berwick and Longniddry.
Start: Early October - work will be ongoing.
£150 per day + van (business use only) + all equipment.
My client is looking to recruit TRR Engineers 2x 2 man teams for a fibre network contract covering across the Scottish Boarders, they currently have teams across Pencaitland/North Berwick and Longniddry.
This work initially is to test rod & rope (TTR) in existing BT (duct) network. However, once the routes are proved this will lead to the full build which will require the installation of fibre optic cable.
Ideally, my client is looking for cable teams who are experienced on the BT network who can cover both disciplines i.e., TRR and sub-duct.
My client will provide vehicle (1 van per team of 2 for business use only), fuel card, tools, equipment (Ipad for schedule of works), and chapter 8 for each team and will be managed by a Supervisor / Project Manager - which ever engineer keeps the van, they must be able to provide secure parking/garage.
All prospective candidates are required to be vetted by my client and will require a client induction prior to commencing work on the contract.
The mandatory requirements are as follows :-
* Hold a valid NRSWA Street Works operative license unit 2.
* EUSR shea Telecoms or equivalent (CSCS).
* Sign, Lighting & Guarding (street works).
* First Aid.
* Basic CRB check less than 3 months old.
* NOPS Registration.
* Confines spaces (medium risk).
* Experienced in TRR and sub-duct.
* Full right to work in UK unrestricted.
* Full Driving License.
BT Work - Technical:
1. Safety underground
2. Hand rodding & roping in the UG network
3. OFN Cabling in the UG network
My client is looking for candidates ideally within a commutable distance of the Scottish Border. This is an exciting opportunity to have ongoing work, so if you are interested please contact Lee McCormack directly
