Our client has been established for 100 years and manufactures premium quality skin and hair care products. They are now looking to recruit a Multiskilled Engineer with a mechanical bias to join their growing team. If you are a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with some basic electrical skills, then this could be the role you have been looking for.
Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on specialised mixing and filling equipment and ancillary plant
Work to preventative maintenance schedules to ensure optimum performance and reduce any downtime of manufacturing equipment
Develop, improve, and implement maintenance schedules and systems.
Carry out emergency repairs to plant, equipment, and property as required.
Evaluate breakdowns with a view to future prevention.
Following company policy regarding GMP and Health and Safety procedures.
Participate in site surveys and improvement programs.
Work flexibly between the various manufacturing departments and occasionally assisting in other departments on site.
Work alone or with others depending on the task being undertaken.
Deal with suppliers and contractors as required
Manage spare part inventory
Attend training courses as and when required.
Maintain quality and production documentation and adhere to quality standards.
Working under GMP, COSHH, RIDDOR and Health and Safety guidelines.
Skills & Experience:
Solid background in mechanical /electrical factory maintenance
Previous experience of working in a busy production environment
Must have good communication skills, be proactive and flexible
Good numeracy skills with a keen eye for detail and excellent problem-solving skills
Experience of working in a clean environment is preferable
Own transport is essential
£27,000 - £30,000 depending on experience
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm
23 days holiday plus bank holiday and shutdown and Christmas
