Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Salary: £55-£85 daily
Location: South Shields
Start Date: Immediately

GSL education work alongside several schools in the South Shields area who specialise in catering for the needs of children who have learning difficulties and are recruiting for Teaching Assistants who have had experience in a SEN setting or a passion for helping others.
The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively as part of a team within the classroom ensuring that all the children are looked after and learning from the taught content. Working 1:1 is something that children with SEN tend to need as some needs are more complex than others and need more time and attention.
Requirements of the role
Be able to work coherently with teachers in providing support for students
A passion for assisting students
Enhanced DBS on the update service
Be enthusiastic and proactive in the classroom
A relevant, recognisable qualification is desirable but not essential
Have experience working 1:1 with children who have barriers to learning (ASD, ADHD, PMLD, VI, HI)
Experience working within an SEN school setting or social care
