Data Scientist - Fully remote - up to £550 p/d Umbrella, inside of IR35

Do you want to work for a government department responsible for government policy on health and adult social care matters in England? Keen to work fully remotely?

I am looking for 5 Data Scientists to join my client, the Department of Heath and Social Care on an initial contract due to run until 31/03/22 (although likely to be extended). £400 - £550 p/d DOE (Umbrella). The contract has been deemed inside of IR35.

The Department of Health and Social Care is looking for Data Scientists to join the Joint Biosecurity Centre to support work across the following areas:

Understanding impact of non-pharmaceutical Interventions.
Identification of clusters.
Describing prevalence to inform policy response.
Deployment of models, many with close engagement with academic partners.

Key Skills/Experience:

Python / R experience for Data Science
Working knowledge of Python stacks, such as Pandas, NumPy, Jupiter, Matplotlib (etc.)
Working with cloud-based platforms, such as AWS, Azure.
Experience with computational statistics tools and / or Machine Learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
Data visualisation and dashboarding tools to effectively inform stakeholders and senior decision makers.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

Experience working within the public sector.
