DESIGN THE FUTURE WITH A GLOBAL TEAM OF EXPERTS
We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our Highways team, giving you the opportunity to co-create with our experts on some of the most prestigious infrastructure programmes in the UK. In this role you'll be working closely with civil engineers and other specialists to produce designs and details.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for:
  • Leading the development of conceptual designs
  • Overseeing and participating in the production and delivery of the design, drawings, specifications, and technical reports in line with the project requirements and programme
  • Checking of design and drawings prepared by other engineers
  • Project Management activities, visits to site and client liaison
  • Technical leadership and guidance to junior team members
  • Ensuring quality, safety and environment are ensured through use of the Integrated Management System

Furthermore, you'll:
  • Hold a master's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Have achieved Chartered Engineer status (CEng) and be a member of the Institute of Civil Engineers (MICE)
  • Have a range of experience working in a design environment in the UK on a range of highways projects
  • Be familiar with the Design Manual for Roads and Bridge (DMRB), and have a sound understanding of CDM Regulations, specifically the designer's requirements and requirements regarding the design risk assessment process
  • Have some project management experience
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
