Job Overview:

Nomura in New York is looking for a CAO/Business Manager to join the Risk Management Group, directly reporting to the CRO. The successful candidate will take strategic ownership, enhance the risk framework and be responsible for budgeting/forecasting.

Responsibilities Include:

• Work closely with CRO to build budget/forecast and manage departmental process.
• Partner with Finance to track departmental performance to budget/forecast on a monthly basis
• Provide Finance with monthly accrual/prepayment requirements
• Assist with the regional implementation of Risk Management Framework and Policies, US Risk Appetite, Identification of Material and Emerging risks, Recovery and Resolution Planning, Stress Testing Governance, and Risk Culture
• Prepare presentations and reports for senior management and boards
• Identify and independently execute on process optimization; lead efforts to automate current reporting and standardize processes
• Oversee sourcing process and flag issues where sourcing delays are impacting Risk's ability to deliver on its commitments
• Track the departmental hiring pipeline and monitor compliance with control total
