R&D Manager - Fareham - circa £65,000 + Bonus

R&D Manager / Product Development Manager required for an electronics and electrical manufacturing company in Fareham. The Product Development Manager / R&D Manager requires previous knowledge of Electronic & software engineering design and good knowledge of maths and engineering principles. The R&D Manager will be managing complex projects to time, cost and quality, will have knowledge of concept designs including software, mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering and have experience managing, highly skilled, multi-discipline engineering teams.

Salary up to £65,000

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday with flexi-time & work from home benefits

R&D Manager / Product Development Manager / Engineering Manager / Research and Development Manager / Technical Manager Responsibilities:

* Assume ownership of project and product development programme delivery for the Research and Development team and overall personnel management of the team.

* Manage priorities of the team, allocate activities and track progress in collaboration with the Management Team.

* Manage resource allocation for engineering projects and prioritisation between projects

* Manage the process of system design, requirements capture, product definition, detailed design (of hardware and software) and introduction into production.

* Manage compliance to customer requirements.

R&D Manager / Product Development Manager / Engineering Manager / Research and Development Manager / Technical Manager Requirements:

* The R&D Manager / Engineering Manager / Research and Development Manager / Technical Manager will have previous experience in the field of electronics, software, wireless technologies and IoT technologies.

* A Degree in Electronics, Electronics and Electrical Engineering, or Physics. Ideally a recognised project management qualification (eg. Prince 2).

* Experience of managing projects across a wide range of industries, including commercial, scientific and defence sectors

* Good experience of leading and managing a small multi-disciplinary team

* Can demonstrate successful management of multiple concurrent projects to time, cost and budget ranging from short-duration express projects to longer more complex projects.

* Experienced in liaising with customers, 3rd parties, suppliers and key stakeholders to ensure the efficient and effective communication and delivery of key project milestones.

* Experience in working to the ISO 9001 standard or a professional and process-driven methodology.

* Experience in supporting business stakeholders with estimates for tender/bid/quoting opportunities
