Hybrid Working (Home and County Hall, Exeter)

We are seeking to recruit a Business Intelligence Lead to join the Education/Early Help business systems and contracts team within Devon County Council.

The role will be primarily focussed on Power BI developing and supplying reports and dashboards utilising advanced DAX and M query.

The role and wider team will also work to develop our existing solutions in data warehousing (Azure), integration of API's, data lineage mapping and developing pipelines and data integrity into our established Master Data Management (MDM) solution.

This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to review and build on the direction of data intelligence in this area, whilst shaping and recruiting their own team.

The postholder will work to develop a strong performance culture with robust, accurate and rapid access to data at the fingertips of managers and staff across multiple areas of work.

This is an exciting time of development within Devon County Council, transforming to use the latest technology (Power BI, Azure, focusing on the Microsoft BI Stack) and shifting our focus from simply serving data to instead being an analytical partner for the services we support.

Experience of Power BI, DAX and M query alongside SQL to a high level is essential, experience of data warehousing designing ELT/ETL solutions with Azure data factory/data lake would also be beneficial as well as prior experience of implementing and developing business intelligence services.

The role will be a hybrid role with home and office working. Initially home based in light of current Covid 19 restrictions. Office working will be at County Hall, Exeter
