Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Location: Birmingham (2 days hybrid working from home available)

Basic salary: £24,000 per annum + Benefits

Type: Permanent.

Primary responsibility will be to give assist the Finance Manager with the day to day running of all accounts functions.

Other key responsibilities will include:

Data entry
Eventually overseeing Payroll
Overseeing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Supporting and assisting in the implementation of a new accounting system
Maintaining Bank Accounts and daily Bank Reconciliations
Assisting with Forecasting and Month End
Understanding and adhering to FCA regulations

Requirements:

Previous experience of working in accounts department is essential (applications without this will be rejected)
Ideally AAT or training towards or equivalent experience in previous roles
A background in Financial Services would be advantageous
A competent Excel user capable of Vlookups and pivot tables etc
Experience of a computerised accounting system ideally SAGE
