Project Accountant
Greenacre are pleased to be supporting a Hertfordshire based housing organisation, with their recruitment of a Project Accountant, on a 9-month fixed term contract.
You will work within the Financial Reporting Team to help the organisation achieve its key strategic goal of being a well-run social business. Opportunity to be part of many aspects of finance to build the foundations for a strong finance career.
Financial Reporting Team includes:
* Management accounts
* Business partnering
* Statutory Accounts
* Fixed Assets
* Tax
* Budget and reforecast
You will:
1. Review internal controls
2. Assist with the monthly production of accounts
3. Support and improve the finance system
4. Assist in the production of Board & Committee reports
5. Maintain the integrity of our asset & liability register
6. Support procurement
7. Co-ordinate regulatory returns
8. Ensure processes and procedures are updated
9. Produce monthly reports and key information
10. Assist with production of annual accounts and the annual audit
11. Other tasks as required for the successful operation of the Finance Team
The ideal candidate:
1. Be a qualified CCAB Accountant
2. Methodical, organised, efficient and effective
3. Attention to detail
4. Excellent oral and written communication skills
5. Communicate complex financial information to non-finance colleagues
Able to:
Be a professional in the housing sector by aiming towards and achieving professional development through the chartered institute of housing
1. Work unsupervised
2. Thrive under pressure
3. Prioritise workload
4. Work to deadlines
5. Find ways to improve efficiencies and effectiveness
