This centralised Procurement team supports everyone through creating and developing long term procurement category, inventory management and logistics strategies that meet the needs of the organisation today and into the future. Spend profile of the team is £120M across a supplier base of around 2,500 active suppliers.
As a Senior Category Manager, you will report to the Head of Procurement and Logistics, working alongside other Senior Category Managers.
Your area of responsibility will cover indirect category spend predominantly across marketing, media, professional and corporate services. Through this category, you will be responsible for around £30m of annual spend commitments with suppliers.
You will primarily business partner the Marketing & Fundraising Director whilst supporting other budget holders to meet their objectives. This role forms part of the Marketing SLT and will play a key part in delivering the strategy.
You will need to have a broad range of Marketing experience covering above and below the line, print, media and digital campaigns and be able to adapt to all other indirect category projects that are required. Diversifying income generation will also be a key project of focus.
If you have experience in P2P and Procurement Operations, you will be able to take on additional responsibility for developing the team in this area as well as policies and processes that underpin procurement. This is not a pre-requisite, more a 'nice to have'.
It is important to note that this role isn't purely about being a Category expert; it's about contributing to the wider procurement team in all aspects to ensure successful outcomes for the business.
This is a hybrid working role that will require you to be on-site 2 days a week in Dorset with the rest remote. It is also possible that this role can be performed on a part-time basis so please do apply and discuss how this might work for you
