Product Owner - (Hybrid Working)

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and professional Product Owner with solid experience in the Technology sector documenting and co-ordinate business requirements for delivery by Technology teams operating in an agile delivery methodology, managing backlogs in line with priorities as agreed by the Senior Product Manager and CTO.

You'll be responsible for:

Engaging with stakeholders across all areas and levels of the business and requires an ability to excel in matrix-team structures along with the skills to influence without authority.

The Product Owner will need to document and co-ordinate business requirements for delivery by Technology teams operating in an agile delivery methodology, managing backlogs in line with priorities as agreed by the Senior Product Manager and CTO.

Key relationships will be with:

* Executive Team

* CTO and Head of Development

* Heads of Operations / Planning / Marketing/ Customer / Finance / Sales / Network Access / HR

* All Subject Matter Experts

Key responsibilities include:

Vision and Strategy:

* Implement and help develop short-and long-term vision and evolution strategy to support business and customer needs.

Product Portfolio:

* Deliver a market leading, service oriented, proposition and roadmap.

* Maintain and develop product collateral as required.

Culture:

* Build a customer focused, results oriented tone. Support all members of the Product Management and DevOps teams through coaching and continual improvement activities.

* Develop agile practices and principles and be willing to communicate these to business stakeholders.

Governance:

* Support in the effective management of the practice, ensuring adherence to standard Product Management and agile processes, systems and tools.

Collaboration:

* Establish good working relationships and partnerships with all business functions and strategic customers.

* Provide product briefing and training to all required parties.

Reporting:

* Maintain product and development KPIs and take action to achieve commercial targets, quality standards and customer satisfaction goals.

* Produce monthly forecasts, activity and management reports.

Budgeting:

* Monitor performance against the budget, and act to ensure budget compliance where appropriate.

Partner Management:

* Create effective partnerships and support the negotiation of advantageous agreements with service providers and hardware/software vendors.

* Manage the attainment of any required vendor certifications and accreditations.

Essential Skills & Experience:

* Degree level education or equivalent, ideally in a business or IT discipline.

* Minimum two years' expertise of working directly with software development teams in either a Product Owner, Scrum Master, Business Analyst or Project Manager role.

* Minimum two years' experience of operating within an agile software delivery environment, with ability to lead and develop agile practices where required to optimise team velocity.

* Experience of managing/prioritising backlogs of work for software development teams including writing user stories, running planning sessions and unblocking issues.

* Ideally hold a professional qualification/certification for Business Analysis, Agile or Project Management.

* Proven and demonstrable experience working with third parties to implement and deliver Software as a Service and Managed Services.

* Proven and demonstrable knowledge of bringing new business propositions to market.

* Highly developed communication skills, presentation skills and meeting management as this role will require a customer-facing professional who can work well in virtual teams.

* Good ability to analyse and understand product performance data and market opportunity data.
