Job Title- Technical Project Manager - Data

Salary - £competitive salary plus Veolia benefits (generous bonus, company pension scheme)

Location- We support flexible working with travel to one of our offices based across the UK

Hours- Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

What will you be doing?

The role of the Technical Project Manager is to provide an interface between the UK and Ireland Business and the Data & Analytics Department. Their work influences every stage of the solution development lifecycle; assisting business analysts in the definition of requirements, developers in solution build and finally solution delivery. They will act as a communicator, ensuring stakeholders, both internal and external, know what is expected of them, when it is expected and how it is expected. At times they may have a more hands-on role, adding capacity to areas of high demand and helping to facilitate the flow of work.

To assist the Head of Data & Analytics in the coordination of the department's activities, ensuring requests for solutions progress through business analysis, the SDLC and result in the timely delivery of products and services that accord with stakeholders' needs.
To ensure that projects are completed to specification, time and budget.
To ensure the department uses appropriate tools and techniques to record, react and report its work and that such aids evolve and adapt to cater for changing business needs.
To assign and oversee tasks of technical personnel, ensuring all subordinates are actively working toward established milestones
To hold regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects

What are we looking for?


Experience of delivering data focussed projects of varying size and complexity
Demonstrable experience of Risk Management
Demonstrable understanding of Project Management processes, strategies and methods
Practical experience of working in one or more of the following disciplines: Business analysis, solution design, solution development, solution testing and solution delivery.
Significant experience of delivering projects which have been delivered to cost, quality and timescale.
Experience of working with agile frameworks


Practised with GitLab, Azure DevOps, Power BI, G-Suite, Jira
Experience of managing development of cloud computing projects
