Role: Head of Business Systems hybrid role split between Swindon,London and WFH.

Reports to: Group IT Director

Main Purpose of the Role

The Head of Business Systems is accountable for the strategic leadership and overall management of the Business Systems Change in line with strategic goals, significant change programmes and ongoing initiatives.

Key Accountabilities

* Leading the Business Systems Change across Travel, International, eCommerce, High Street and Group Functions.

* Developing a rolling 2-3 year clearly defined Business Systems strategy covering High Street, International, eCommerce, Travel and Group Functions.

* Influencing and implementing the Business Systems Change strategy, working with business partners to identify and deliver solutions that meet the business change needs.

* Leading the strategic 3rd Party outsourced Development and Technology suppliers negotiating SOW, delivering solutions and managing performance against KPIs.

* Governance and Control of capital investment to deliver the required Business System changes.

Main Responsibilities

* Leading and influencing business partners to generate business and technology solutions for products, business models, services and customer experiences.

* Maintain the budget and 3-year capital investment plan working the Business Partners & IT Leadership Team.

* Leading the Business Systems IT Team to manage and deliver the approved change program, with the appropriate capital forecasting & investment controls.

* Leading and Managing 3rd Party outsourced Development and Technology partners to deliver the Business Systems Change programme, across contract negotiations, SOW definition, portfolio & resource planning and performance management through KPIs.

* Owning, delivering and monitoring the Business Systems project portfolio.

* Ensuring all Business Systems changes and initiatives are fully integrated into the PMO planning process for approval, leadership commitment, priority management, resource and budget control.

* Ensuring the appropriate industry best practices and methods are in place across business engagement, project management and development to deliver the Business Systems Change Programme.

* Working closely with the IT Leadership and HR team to attract and retain top talent, and to build technology capabilities across the company.

Strategic focus

The Head of Business Systems will have proven experience in

IT Development and Business Change.

Leading & delivering significant IT change programmes.

Managing 3rd party technology suppliers to successfully deliver change programmes.

Building strong relationships across the business areas and with 3rd Party Suppliers.

Leading and managing 3rd Party Outsourced Supplier relationships, contract management, delivery and KPI performance.
