Painting & Decorating Reviewer/Assessor
College location: John Ruskin College (Redhill)
Hourly pay rate: £21.02/hour (£18.23/hour + £2.79/hour as payment for annual leave)
Hours: 1-3 days a month (which can be completed on a flexible basis)
We are currently seeking to appoint an organised and knowledgeable Painting & Decorating Reviewer to join our Technical & Vocational Skills department.
In this role you will be visiting learners in the workplace and onsite at the College, to assess them and prepare them for their End Point Assessments for City & Guilds Painting & Decorating courses from levels 1-3.
Your duties will also include: conducting practical assessments, monitoring and tracking progress, training and assessing and delivering the underpinning knowledge requirements of the qualification within the workplace. A key function of this role is to build strong relationships with those in the Painting & Decorating sector on behalf of the College, and the post holder will need to ensure that work placements are safe environments conducive to learning.
The successful candidate must have:
* Painting & Decorating industry experience
* An Assessing qualification
* Previous Painting & Decorating Assessing experience (ideally within FE)
* A Painting & Decorating qualification at a minimum of Level 3
* Good organisational and planning skills
* The ability to travel to different locations for off-site visits with learners
Previous experience teaching/tutoring Painting & Decorating in the FE sector would also be highly desired
