Global Commodity Manager - 12m FTC

Location: Worthing/hybrid from home

Salary: £38,000 - £40,000

Summary:

This high end product manufacturer is looking for a strategic Global Commodity Manager to join their team for an initial 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. You will be responsible for the sourcing and development of the Global supplier base, lead engagement activities to improve cost, performance and quality and contribute to the value engineering change process. You will need to be office based in Worthing for 2 days per week and work the remainder from home

Key Responsibilities:

Build and develop strategic commodity road maps

Conduct supplier analysis

Improve cost performance and quality through the use of scorecards, KPIs, QBR, audits and SCAR processes

Support Global procurement processes for competitive bidding, RFQ management and make v buy and should-cost models

Support new product introduction

Key Skills/Experience:

Previous procurement experience from a manufacturing environment

MCIPS qualified (or working towards)

Experience of leading supplier evaluation, selection and control

Able to drive continuous improvement activities

Strong commercial acumen

Competent Excel knowledge - pivot and lookup functions

SAP experience preferred
