A relevant teaching assistant qualification (Level 3 ideally)
A flexible, enthusiastic and can do attitude towards supporting students
Previous experience working within a secondary setting
Previous experience working with students who have behaviour needs
Strong communication skills and an ability to work well within a teamLTF Recruitment have partnered with a well known secondary academy located Birmingham to source an experienced and committed Behaviour mentor as soon as possible. Our client, which benefits from strong leadership and excellent provisions for its students including SEND, is a desirable place to work. An opportunity has now become available to join their team due to unforeseen circumstances. Specifically, the successful candidate will work within the schools dedicated SEND unit to support students with behaviours that challenge and other associated SEND needs.

The successful candidate will also support students within their regular classes, encouraging them to engage in learning and make the correct choices in relation to their behaviour. To effectively carry out this role, you will also be required to build close and effective relationships with parents/caregivers to holistically support students.
