Technician / Vehicle Technician / NVQ level 3 in Vehicle Repair / Proven record as a Technician in a workshop / Derby / Salary upto 35k

Gi Group have been given the opportunity to recruit for a approved commercial dealership workshop based in stoke. We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Commercial Vehicle Technician, this is a permanent position.

The company has a network of 32 dealer locations across the United Kingdom including 4 body-shops and accident repair centres. They are the largest DAF Trucks dealer group and have partnerships with Nissan Trucks, Isuzu Trucks, VW, Ford transit, Fiat Professionals.

Double day shift -
WK1 Mon - Fri 13:00 pm - 21:30 pm
WK2 Mon - Fri 6:00 am-14:00 pm Sat 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

£32,250 per year, plus bonus and overtime rates

Main duties as a Vehicle Technician:
1. To observe, recognise and report on vehicle or component defects or symptoms of impending failure.
2. To examine vehicles completely and report orally or in writing upon the vehicles condition, safety and reliability and performance (MOT).
3. To interpret and implement technical service instructions data, and to indent such information for replacement.
4. To carry out roadside repairs and to recover defective or damaged vehicles within the terms of the law. Fully comply with Manufacturer's protocol and policies and safe working at roadside.
5. To protect all vehicles under repair against damage and to inspect each vehicle for damage and cleanliness upon completion of repair.
6. To attend recognised courses of instruction as and when required and to assist in the training of apprentices upon assignment.
7. To ensure all service and maintenance sheets, customer defect reports, manufacturer paperwork and electronic documentation, i.e. PDI sheets are fully completed and signed off.

What are WE looking for?
* A minimum LEVEL 3 qualified Vehicle Technician
* A minimum Level 3 City & Guilds / NVQ in Vehicle Repair
* Full UK driving licence
* Motor trade experience
The following are preferred but not essential
* Main dealer experience
* MOT tester
* VW group trained
* LCV experience
