Futures Recruitment Services are recruiting for a Marine Technician to join our client based within a busy Marina on the Thames. Our client is an independent business delivering specialist Marine services for clients from general chandlery needs through to complete engine restoration projects. Our client is looking to grow their team of trained engineers with a fully equipped workshop capable of dealing with engineering, painting or refitting of boats either hardstanding or afloat.
Our client is looking for an experienced technician to work on a variety of outboard and inboard engines. Being one of the busiest service centres and one of the only Volvo Penta specialists on the Thames a good work ethic and experience in Volvo Penta and Mercruiser outboards would be highly advantageous.
With a very flexible approach to working hours, this small personable business is adaptable to your needs. Annual training schemes are also available for development within the company.
Desired Expertise for the Marine Engineer:
* Strong Volvo Penta, Mercruiser, and sterndrive experience
* Water pump repair and maintenance
* Electronic repair experience
* Boating knowledge and experience
* Modern outboard motor experience is a bonus
Salary £29,000-£35,000 p.a plus overtime and 28 days holidays including bank holidays. The salary will depend on the exact experience of the candidate. Please apply in confidence through Indeed.
Monday to Friday 8am-4.30pm, with the opportunity for overtime at time and a half and weekend work in the high season. Please note - do talk to us about flexibility if required, this won't be ruled out.
