We are the voice of dentists and dental students in the UK. We bring dentists together, support our members through advice and education, and represent their interests. This is a challenging and dynamic period for dentistry and the BDA is recruiting a Finance Officer to help and support the Finance team.About the role
This is a full-time permanent role and we anticipate a hybrid approach to working location, with home working alongside attendance at our central London office.
The post-holder will be responsible for managing all aspects of the purchase ledger function including; the processing of invoices, member and staff expenses, ensuring all invoices and expenses are correctly authorised; performing weekly BACS and cheque payment runs; reconciling suppliers monthly statements; managing all accounts payable accruals. They will also be supporting the Finance Manager as required.About you
The successful candidate should have experience of working in a busy Finance Department and an excellent knowledge of maintaining and developing financial ledger systems, preferably Sage 200. A good understanding of book-keeping and knowledge of month end/year end accounting procedures is also required.
We are looking for a good team player with excellent organisational skills as well as the ability to plan and prioritise workload is essential. The postholder must also be competent with Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.About the team
