This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Payroll Administrator who is keen to continue developing and being part of a very well known business. The role will play a crucial part in supporting the Payroll Manager and HR team.

The role will offer you ongoing training, opportunity and growth within a small team which will also give you great insight to support Managers when extra busy for ad hoc projects.

The role
  • Providing payroll support, taking responsibility for the processing of a large 4 weekly/ weekly

    payroll and supporting with statutory calculations including Tax, NI, SSP, SMP, SMP etc.
  • Managing starters, changes and leavers, ensuring P45's are received/issued and tax codes updated

    to facilitate first and last payments
  • Consolidating weekly timesheets from Stores/Branches
  • Managing monthly tax filings and ad-hoc HMRC payment queries.
  • Being responsible for dealing with payroll queries, out of cycle payroll payment requests (including

    deduction processing) and producing payroll reports.
  • Liaising with Branch staff to validate and sense-check payment files prior to submission.
  • Loading payment files through our banking provider.
  • Pension Submissions.
  • Ensure compliance and applicable laws and payroll tax obligations
  • Calculate annual leave and ensure correct or any changes
  • Support with always looking at improving current processes to the business
