A leading global insurance business has a fantastic opportunity for a Technical Project Manager to join a dynamic IT team and be responsible for supporting a range of projects focused on security, cloud and Digital Transformation. The PM will support defining the scope, timelines and resource needs in order to gain approval of the Business Case. Subsequently, the PM will support the management of all phases of the project through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

* Support the management of all phases of a project from initiation through to completion, including project close-down and handover into business as usual.

* Capturing requirements for all projects up front and agreeing approach, with a focus on success factors and MoSCoW prioritsation

* Vendor selection, contract reviews and legal approval

* Engaging with IT and security teams to formulate and deliver roadmaps

* Preparing design submissions for TDA

* Support the delivery of all assigned projects to agreed scope, time, cost and quality

* Support the development of the business case, resource plans, schedules and budgets for assigned projects

* Assist in the management of internal and third-party project resources to ensure that they are working effectively to deliver project outcomes

* Manage and mitigate project risks and issues to reduce impacts on delivery

* Support the creation of project management processes, procedures and tools, and provide guidance on best use of project management disciplines and approaches in order to build a strong IT change function

* Provide support to peers, managers, sponsors and project staff when needed in order to ensure project success and build stronger delivery capabilities

Essential Skills / Experience

* Minimum of 3 years Project Management experience and at least 5 years within an IT environment

* Experience of working on security related IT projects

* Knowledge of security and regulatory frameworks such as NiST, ISO27001

* End to end cyber security project experience

* A good understanding of the technical challenges faced by a global business

* Experience of working with Agile delivery methods with Kanban and Scrum teams

* Strong cloud migration experience

* Previous Insurance experience especially within the London / Lloyd's market is highly desirable
