Our client is a high profile charity supporting and enriching the lives of vulnerable people; they are currently recruiting for a 'Finance Business Partner' - you will be ACCA/CIMA or ACA Qualified with advanced Excel skills and an eye for detail. A proven track record as a Finance Business Partner ideally from the Care sector, a credible communicator and abillity to liaise with senior stakeholders in the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Report key financial and operational metrics to services
* Support and involve yourself with operational discussions on commissioning and service user reviews, including discussions with authorities.
* Support the monthly management accounts process helping to deliver and develop meaningful reports for the business.
* Manage, together with the CFO, the annual budget process and the production of rolling forecasts
* Work closely with the CFO to ensure the integrity of the financial ledgers and accuracy of the supporting data through implemented control measures on key aspects of services
* Reinforce controls, processes and training especially concerning expenditure
* Develop and maintain professional relationships with the Home Managers and other Department Heads to discuss financial performance and provide financial support for decision making.
* Develop an understanding of working practices within the care homes and other operating units in order to provide appropriate support and improve effectiveness as appropriate.
* Work with the CFO to develop financial models to support strategic decision making on provisioning of new services.
The Requirement:
* Ability to organise, prioritise and maintain workloads whilst paying attention to detail.
* Advanced IT skills - Excel (advanced).
* Open Accounts finance system
* Minimum of 3 years' experience working at a senior level.
* Proven track record as Finance Business Partner ideally from the care and service sector or similar.
* A clear communicator with the ability to make finance simple for operational support staff to better manage finances
