Senior Programmatic Manager

Location: Remote/London
Duration: 6 months
Rate: £500 PD
IR35 status: Inside

Role Summary

We are looking for a senior programmatic display and video expert to lead the inhouse and agency team to optimize our client's programmatic media investment and creative to support the client's ambitious, global growth targets and rollout of new markets.
To succeed, you'll need an up-to-date knowledge of best practices, enough experience to lead the strategy independently and will be a dab hand at using data to inform decision making and improve profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define, execute, and own the Programmatic strategy (incorporating display, video and supporting audience selection on other channels) to drive growth across all customer segments & markets
  • Activate and optimize budget allocation to drive highly effective performance across our accounts.
  • Fulfil day-to-day optimizations including running A/B Tests, bid management, daily and monthly budgets and spend reconciliation
  • Supporting asset creation to align with the client's brand guidelines that drive strong results
  • Identify and implement new opportunities to stay ahead of the competition
  • Work with Marketing Analytics to manage and optimize budgets across various platforms & channels
  • Liaise with internal teams to align Programmatic buying and creative strategy with commercial insights and ROI. Leveraging data and audiences to optimize CPA/ROI is a core part of this role
  • Maintaining and evolving all aspects of paid Programmatic activity from planning to reporting on campaigns across numerous channels and markets on an ongoing basis to ensure KPIs are met
  • Identify and explore new opportunities within the Paid Programmatic landscape that are relevant for the brand e.g., audience targeting, new platforms, new competitor insight tools, new Programmatic engine features
  • Work collaboratively with the agency to structure campaigns and audiences to match the client's customer segments
  • Identify automation and optimization opportunities
  • Work with key internal stakeholders & departments to ensure strategic imperatives are met & relevant organizational goals are factored into Paid Programmatic
  • Work with Insight & Analytics teams to improve and evolve measurement, tracking, and data management platforms to gain deeper insight into impact of Paid Programmatic activities
  • Work with the CRO team to run on-page conversion experiments.
  • Producing reports for the management team (Excel, Data Studio, PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of analytics tools (Google Analytics, Tableau, Adobe)

Key Skills:
  • An expert in hands-on paid Programmatic experience, any additional channels are a bonus.
  • Experienced with attribution - able to attribute spend and performance across channels and are comfortable improving and iterating on our existing attribution tooling.
  • Analytically minded - You can use advanced Google Sheets / Excel functions and BI tools to extract insight, and you are self-sufficient in doing so. Bonus points if you can also write complex SQL queries for complex reporting needs.
  • Experience managing multiple agencies
  • Relationship skills to establish strong working relationships with existing agencies & internal stakeholders
  • Strong business judgment & decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritise, and articulate highest impact initiatives
  • Creative and innovative thinker who can help attain first-mover advantage and maintain competitive edge in paid Programmatic landscape
  • Comfortable creating presentations & presenting to senior management
