Are you experienced in a GMP regulated environment? Do you have excellent communication skills with great attention to detail?

Our client, a radiopharmaceutical manufacturing company, offering reliable licensed supplies of PET radiopharmaceuticals across the UK to imaging centres, is looking to recruit a Cyclotron Operator. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to work within the production laboratory. This will be a varied and challenging role, suitable for a proactive individual who can work to tight deadlines.

The duties include

* Carry out day-to-day Operation of the cyclotrons for manufacture of radioisotopes under Good manufacturing practices (GMP).

* Ensure rapid response on all machinery breakdowns, fault finding and implement correction.

* Prepare purchase orders and maintain inventory for your area of responsibility.

* Assist as required in establishing and developing procedures and documentation under direction from the engineering manager

We are looking for a engineering graduate ideally with a scientific background, with experience of operating cyclotrons ideally in a radiopharmaceutical environment, although experience of other equipment used in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals in a clinical or GMP environment would be of value as training in the use of the equipment will be provided.

Qualifications:
Diploma in electronic or mechanical technology from a recognized technical institute or relevant practical experience.

Evidence of the ability to handle a variety of skills is desirable.

Experience:
Basic knowledge of cyclotron theory and operation, basic mechanical skills and an understanding of electrical and electronic systems and computers. You will also be expected to have good written skills.

Due to the short shelf life of the products, Cyclotron Operators are expected to work a flexible shift pattern of work including some unsociable hours
