This company is one of the UK's leading specialist machine manufacturers, designing and producing automated machinery for a worldwide client base. With a turnover in excess of £45M, a structured expansion plan and an over-flowing order book, the future is bright, offering challenge and stability for an experienced Control or Automation Systems Design Engineer.
This is a diverse role working on special purpose machinery, in a fast-paced printing and packaging industry, working within a team of technical experts.
The ideal candidate will have approximately five years automation experience writing control software, performing design and commissioning activities for PLC's and servo control systems.; being able to demonstrate the ability to work with HMI software, safety systems, inverters, pneumatics, communication networks and produce and read supporting technical and electrical documentation using EPlan or similar.
Preferably educated to a degree level in a relevant engineering discipline, you will have experience of process improvement, lean & six sigma as well as background of programming PLC's (Siemens, Rockwell, B&R, Bosch or Lenze) and HMI systems. Experience of working with variable speed and servo drives is essential.
