Enthusiasm and an excellent work ethic are crucial in this position as we are looking for someone that is confident and competent in working autonomously, someone who can come up with novel solutions to maintenance issues and who is happy to be focused on reactive repairs.

We are actively seeking a pro-active Maintenance Engineer to join a growing business in Crawley. Our client is a very well established business who have been growing consistently and are now looking for an additional Engineer to manage the maintenance of a range of their machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

* Take responsibility for all aspects of production machinery performance and up-time

* Carry out quality control checks on machinery to ensure they are operating within tolerance

* Support other engineers with problem solving activities

* Focus on continuous improvement

* Log all actions on the in-house system for traceability purposes

The successful candidate will be an experienced engineer, having worked in a similar production / manufacturing environment previously.

You must be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of mechanical maintenance techniques as well as, at the minimum, a basic knowledge of electrical maintenance and repair.
