SAP Support Manager

Knottingley

Monday to Friday

£50-£55K per annum

Our Client is currently recruiting for a SAP super user. The varied nature of the position calls for a high level of SAP knowledge, technical and managerial skills. The mentioned tasks are to be carried out within the framework of the yearly IS budget, TEMUK Business activities and strategy as well as alignment on TotalEnergies Group and MS Branch IS & IT standards, policies and recommendations.

The job holder is responsible for:

• Managing SAP users - creation, maintenance, and archiving using GRC10 system

o Enable access for new starters - correct roles and environments

o Archiving leavers to prevent charges for unnecessary licences

o Arranging temporary access for short term cover

o Allocating correct roles, minimizing conflicts

o Provision of information re conflicts to CA Manager, and proposals for alternative roles to minimize conflicts

• Integrity of master data - creation and maintenance

o Customer

o Vendor o Materials

o Plants, depots and shipping points

o Area Business Manager & Lubes Customer Service (Rep number) creation/amendment (needed for SAP and Salsa)

o MWST (VAT) entries - in conjunction with Finance department o Doc online - dematerialized invoices

• First contact for the business for SAP queries

o Support/guide the business with SAP general issues

o Creation of SAP tickets for unknown issues

o Monitoring progress and solutions, liaising with the SAP Support Team

o Support to the business with testing

o Closing tickets when solution accepted by the business

o Promote best practice between business units

o Liaison with Paris SAP support to review/monitor open tickets

o Liaison with support team in India

• Creation of SAP evolution tickets (chargeable work)

o Liaison with the business to understand - and agree - the need for evolutions

o Review of costs of tickets - cost vs benefit, applicability to other parts of the business

o Review costs against annual budget - reports issued monthly to CA Manager

• Project Management for major evolution work, or system changes

o New interfaces (e.g. change of haulier, moves to SAP SAPIC)

o Testing

o Reporting on progress

o Working with the business to plan for necessary SAP changes (plants, contracts etc)

• Monthly housekeeping reports, safety nets

o Run monthly reports to ensure all sales are invoiced, unnecessary orders are closed

o Ensure non-standard & new flows (imports, exports etc) are correctly modelled and set up in SAP

o Ensure all invoices are sent electronically, not as paper documents (which incur a cost)

• Maintain a document repository for all SAP activities and tasks

o Source, review, store and make available all existing documents

o Create new documents for areas not covered, or missing

Qualifications/Experience Required

• The ability to understand both business and technical issues is essential

• A sound knowledge and understanding of all aspects of SAP and associated systems is also required

• A 'service orientated' approach is essential to ensure the appropriate delivery of support to the business

• Project management (particularly implementation) is desirable

• Good understanding of the MS business/industry practice

• Fluent English language, French language is desirable
