PROJECT MANAGER ROLE
My client is a leading B2B Marketing agency who have worked with thousands of recognised clients across the globe. With a strong heritage in design and delivery, my client operates within the events space and have seen huge growth and demand over the last year.
The operations team are responsible for executing clients' projects to the absolute highest levels of quality, and the team accepts nothing but excellence in the delivery of all our services. The sales team are responsible for winning new work, but it is the integrity and passion of the operations team that keeps our clients coming back.
My client is looking for an articulate and pro-active Project Manager (preferably with events experience) to join their team. The Operations team are responsible for the end-to-end delivery of all projects. PMs need to deal with internal staff, clients, suppliers, and event organisers, and well as any other parties involved in the process.
Duties will include:
Working closely with the sales team to provide a comprehensive quotation for all services on projects that are under tender. This will involve liaising with many different suppliers to gather costs in a limited period.
Complete control and accountability for projects assigned to them by the head of operations.
Responsibility for ensuring that all working drawings and design assets are updated by the design team prior to project execution.
Ongoing stakeholder management and communication with all involved parties, but particularly with the client, in conjunction with the appropriate account manager.
Ownership of all costs relating to the project, ensuring that costs do not escalate and that the project maintains a minimum gross profit as a % of the total project value.
Contract management and placement of orders with all suppliers relating to the project. Responsibility for ensuring that orders are accurate, and that the cost is as expected.
Travel and on-site management of the project from build-up through to the opening day.
Project closure and de-briefing with the client and internal team. Skills / Qualities
The successful candidate will:
Excel in personal time management, multi-tasking and planning.
Have a firm grasp of project management principles and familiarity with a variety of toolsets.
Have excellent communication skills and be able to deal with all levels of management both internally and externally.
Be capable of effectively negotiating with suppliers and organisers, potentially managing challenging discussions in the process.
Be able to work individually and as part of a team.
Be passionate about client relationship management.
Have an uncompromising approach to delivering excellence at all times.
Be willing to travel and demonstrate flexibility with regards to this, particularly during the exhibition peak seasons (Feb - May, Sept - Nov).
Be able to meet strict deadlines without exception.
Have a full and valid passport.
Have a full driving license.
Be able to travel globally without restrictions. Salary: £25k - £30k depending on experience
