HSB Technical Ltd have been approached to recruit a Parts Advisor - As the Parts Advisor, you will be responsible for assisting the Parts Supervisor in the day to day operations of parts department. You will receive requests by email, phone or in person and action customer (internal & external) spare parts and "other product" enquiries with minimum delay and ensure that every opportunity is taken to secure sale of goods.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate good experience within the following:

Speak to customers and quote for spares

Support the service engineers with spares

Answering calls, responding to emails and talk face to face to customers at the trade counter

Day to day tasks:

Sales of spare parts and other goods offered by the company, maximising business opportunities without compromising profit levels.

Dealing with internal parts and equipment requests from the Service department, assist the engineers in identification of parts.

Ensure parts are available at scheduled time to carry out works without delay.

Identification of correct parts using supplier parts catalogues and on-line tools.

When goods are not in stock, place an order with the supplier through your line managers authority, and monitor delivery of goods, chasing outstanding orders when required.

Ensure that customers are kept informed of order status with regard to order acknowledgement, back orders and delivery dates.

Process orders through to completion and invoice, taking payment for cash and account sales

Under instruction from Parts Supervisor/Manager carry out stock checks, stock condition monitoring and computer stock control and price updates.

Ensure at all times that the correct price and business terms are quoted to customers.

Ensure any customer complaint is notified to the Branch Manager and Engineering Director and complaint procedures followed.

Ensure any supplier non-conformance is brought to the managers attention and a non-conformance procedure followed.

Packing and despatch of goods, ensuring delivery requirements meet customers' needs and correct postage is applied on goods outwards.

Unloading / loading of delivery and despatch vehicles (may include fork lift operation)

Goods collection and deliveries when required.

Qualifications/Experience:

Driving licence valid in the UK

Passport (Desirable)
