Our client is a well-established, forward-thinking company based in Hull who is now recruiting for an experienced Audit & Accounts Semi Senior. This is a full-time position within a chartered accountancy practice.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

* Accounts preparation for Limited companies

* Assisting in Audit assignments

* Ensuring compliance with external and internal requirements

* Ensuring audit files have all relevant documentation on the appropriate section

* Analysis of accounting data from client's books and records

* Develop ongoing effective relationships with clients, ensuring the retention of business

* Ensuring all jobs are completed within specific budgets, keeping the Manager informed at all times of progress of job

* Assisting junior staff in developing their understanding of the various software packages, auditing, tax laws and statutory requirements

* Keeping abreast of developments in audit, accounting, taxation and relevant computer software

Skills and Qualifications required:

* At least ACCA/ACA part qualified with intermediate experience of working within a practice accountancy firm with a focus on audit

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to build successful relationships

* Able to self-manage and work autonomously with strong attention to detail

* Advanced computer operational skills MS office, particularly Excel (essential)

* An effective team member, proactive and motivated

* Commercially minded, a high level of flexibility and professionalism
