Up to 130k + Benefits

Premier entertainment, gaming, and gambling company

London based 3 days per week

My client is one of the largest entertainment, gaming, and gambling destinations in the UK. After several years with the business, their current Director of IT has chosen to take early retirement so they are looking for someone else to take lead of their IT solutions on a permanent basis. The director of IT is one of the main leadership team within the organisation and is responsible for the effective operation, development and governance of IT and IS solutions.

In this role you will lead the IT function and work closely with the rest of the leadership team to constantly evaluate, update and strategies the future of their IT estate. This role is best suited to someone with several years experience as a CTO/IT Director and who is comfortable running and managing an entire IT function.

Job Responsibilities:

IT Risk management - Ensuring IT risk is managed, monitored, and tracked in a clear and effective way
Budget and cost management - Ensuring an economic IT and systems infrastructure and managing IT budgets in close co-operation with the CFO
Updating technologies - Ensuring new tech is introduced as required and obsolete systems are removed and upgraded as necessary
IT Strategy - Evaluating, planning, and applying an IT strategy and development roadmap for the business
Managing IT department - Leadership/management of IT staff and organisation of the IT structure within the company
3rd party vendor management - Building/maintaining relationships with 3rd party suppliers and stakeholders, reviewing contracts and SLAs
Compliance - Producing IT best practice and policy for the businessKey personal skills:

Pro-active attitude and mentality towards problem solving
Exceptional leadership and team management skills
Ability to visualize the future direction and strategy of the companies IT estate
Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to negotiate with 3rd part vendors
Ability to plan, organise and prioritize workloads
Excellent time management and project management skillsKey technical skills:

Strong background working with Microsoft Azure Technologies
Project management and leadership (Ideally Prince2 certified)
Knowledge of information security - Ideally CISSP/CISM
Experience running 24/7 support team functionsThis role is a key role within the business and needs someone who can take the lead on all things IT from day 1. You will be a crucial part of both the day to day running of the business but also the long-term strategy and development roadmap.
