We are seeking a customer focused individual with good leadership skills to help support the Service Manager in managing the service technical support and administration teams

The role:

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Support Service Desk Team Leader to manage the day-to-day engineer's duties which includes distribution of technical and applications support to customer's site and in house and also organising the required parts.

Main Duties / Responsibilities:

Day to day co-ordination of the Service Desk function:

Ensure that the Service Desk is an excellent deliverer of Customer Service

Ensure that the customer CRM ticketing system is used effectively and efficiently by the team

Support the Services Manager and help lead in the development of good customer service practices

Contribute to and deliver improvements that support the continuous improvement of processes and controls within the team

Undertake any other duties of a senior level and responsibility as may be required from time to time.

Skills and Experience required:

High awareness of Customer Care - the Service Desk is a high-profile function and is the users first point of contact within the company

Ability to work well under pressure and at a high work rate

Excellent inter-personal skills: diplomatic and able to inspire customer confidence

Evidence / experience of customer service skills

Relevant qualifications in with an Engineering / technical based subject

Experience in a customer service / customer facing role and the supervision of staff

Experience in administration supporting Service Engineering with a good level of technical ability / experience

Proven IT skills with ability to use and learn windows based software tools.

Understanding of machine tools, automated industrial systems an advantage but not essential
