One of the leading food manufacturers in the area are looking for an Engineering Manager to join their team and head up all functions of the engineering department on site.
This role will cover the entire strategy of the department to ensure it is having a positive impact on business performance as well as working in harmony with all other teams on site ensuring optimal performance is achieved. Typical duties could include day to day management maintenance (proactive and reactive), overseeing all projects and continuous improvements on site, budget management, people training and development and KPI setting and implementation etc.
Working directly with the senior leadership team on site, you'll have a direct impact on the success of the business and be a key team member.
With an emphasis placed on culture on site, a main goal will be to ensure this is maintained and new ideas to improve this are always welcomed.
Working in the food industry is fast paced and ever-changing so you'll be kept on your toes. This role is ideal for someone looking to join a challenging environment where they can utilise their skillset across both engineering and people management.
To be a good fit for this role you will need to have experience working in a senior engineering position, ideally as an Engineering Manager and you need to be comfortable managing a team of engineers. Ideally, you will have worked in the food, FMCG of a manufacturing industry but this is not essential. Any supporting qualifications across engineering and management are also advantageous.
