Reed Finance are working with an established global leader of aviation based in north Oxford. As Britain's largest space company, they have an exciting opportunity for a permanent Finance Manager to join their UK team of over 10,000 with hybrid working available.

As Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include overseeing end-to-end finance operations, financial analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, making improvements to procedures and controls, overseeing all audits, and awareness of any potential compliance risks.

You will be managing a department of three people helping to develop a team with a strong customer focus. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to confidently report financial changes to relevant departments, managers and stakeholders, as well as writing and editing Financial policies to improve financial systems, processes and procedures.

Other responsibilities include:

•Responsible for financial accounting for statutory reporting.

•Ensure statutory accounts comply with UK GAAP & IFRS.

•Be the primary conduit for audit preparation and liaison with auditors.

•Issue accurate and timely monthly financial accounts.

•Responsible for the preparation of data for reporting in Group software FACTS+ and reporting to specified deadlines.

•Prepare the deferred tax pack for Group accounting annually in October.

•Prepare and finalise statutory accounts and ensure compliance with regulatory authority requirements

•Prepare Corporation tax packs for tax advisors.

•Ensure VAT returns and payments and other statutory reports such as ONS surveys are delivered by specified deadlines.

•Oversee the Accounts Payable function including payments

•Oversee the payroll ensuring it is processed and all associated reporting complete (sub contracted to Airbus)
